The New York Central Gondola Car No. 6462 is listed in the Production Table as Variation C of the Type 1b BLACK body that has WHITE lettering. This car was available in 1950 and it was equipped with staple-end trucks with magnetic couplers. The steps have been eliminated. No brake wheels.
