The MTH 30-1118-0 is a beautifully rendered O Gauge model of the legendary Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) #3768 "Torpedo." Designed by the famed industrial designer Raymond Loewy, this locomotive represents the pinnacle of 1930s Art Deco streamlined styling.
Built for the RailKing line, this model scales down the striking, aerodynamic aesthetic of the prototype into a package that runs flawlessly on traditional, tight-radius layouts.
Art Deco Design: Instantly recognizable bullet-nosed streamlining that stands out on any layout or display shelf.
Heavy-Duty Construction: Built with a durable die-cast metal boiler and chassis, providing excellent traction and a premium, heavy feel.*** Tender shell has been replaced with a PRR Brunswick green ABS shell.
Equipped with a precision flywheel-equipped can motor for realistic, jerk-free starting and stopping performance.
Classic Sound & Control: Features a dependable QSI DCRU electronic reverse unit and a classic electronic whistle. The DCRU can be switched off with the switch located under the tender chassis.
